Overview
As a Frontend Developer and designer for the KATALIS (Kelola Mata Kuliah Spesial) project, I was responsible for developing and designing the user interface of this application. KATALIS is an information system designed to streamline the management and administration of special courses at the Master of Information Technology program at Fasilkom UI. I developed 67 responsive frontend pages using Next.js and React, and implemented dynamic components with TypeScript to enhance interactivity and application efficiency.
As a designer, I worked directly to create an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interface using Tailwind CSS, ensuring the application is user-friendly and consistent. For performance optimization, I applied techniques such as lazy loading and code splitting, and integrated APIs with the backend team to ensure real-time data display. I also ensured the application met accessibility standards by using semantic HTML and ARIA roles.
Key features I developed include a system for different stages of special courses that can adapt to new regulations, tracking the workload of supervising lecturers, displaying detailed information on students and their progress, topic validation to ensure uniqueness, as well as features for lecturers to create and manage topics and for students to register topics with specific lecturers.
